Preparing Tomorrow’s Leaders Today
We are pleased to announce the launch of our inaugural State based Next Generation Executive Program with the first cohort of tomorrow’s great leaders signed up and raring to go.
The program has been specifically designed for executives of the future, those in tier 3 and tier 4 leadership roles who are demonstrating the capability to potentially be appointed to a senior executive team in 2+ years’ time.
The program is a mix of leadership theory, group action learning and individual coaching. In the first year of the program participants are immersed in an interactive learning journey across three dimensions, Leading Self, Leading Team, Leading Organisation, to better prepare them for their first senior executive appointment.
Coming together as a group three times a year, the program is guided by an expert facilitator who brings extensive leadership experience to bear. Their role is to workshop contemporary leadership theories and frameworks with participants and help them translate that to their everyday leadership practice. To enable that process participants will also engage in action learning and use this evidence based methodology to discuss and resolve the real world leadership challenges they face. 1:1 coaching in between the group work further embeds the learnings.
Participants will also hear from inspirational guest speakers from all walks of life and a broad range of sectors who share their leadership journeys and insights over a working dinner. These ‘fireside chats’ aren’t just about career journeys that have gone swimmingly. They’re also about trials and tribulations and an exploration of what got people through.
With participants from major metropolitan and regional health services, the program will also strengthen connections across the system and provide opportunities for shared learning and collaboration, which is particularly valuable during times of transformation and fiscal constraint.
