In brief, HCL is a small but rapidly growing research and development company that creates hospital analytic solutions by working in partnership with health systems and services and academic institutions. They develop software that helps clinicians and managers to deliver measurable improvements and are already working with more than 60 hospitals optimising performance in areas such as Outpatients, Surgery and Theatres, Endoscopy, Emergency Departments and Inpatient Bed Management. HCL has created a common language that is helping to solve the global challenges facing hospitals including the dilemma of capacity and demand.

The role of Director, Hospital Systems Improvement is a phenomenal opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a real difference and can demonstrate that difference. The successful person for this role will be experienced in hospital operations as a clinician or administrator. They will be driven to deliver access and patient flow initiatives and have experience delivering sustainable improvement results. They will be a natural analyst who can interpret data, trends and insights. They will be a great communicator who is also organised, agile, adaptable. They will want to grow with the company. They will have an undergraduate degree preferably in healthcare and at least 5 years’ experience as either as a senior operational manager within a hospital or in access and patient flow roles. These types of opportunities are few and far between.
