Six Key Leadership Roles in Australia

30 Jun 2020

Last month I let you know we had a range of terrific roles coming up at the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service and I am very pleased to say three more have now gone live. They are:

While each of these roles will have a district wide focus they will be based at the newly commissioned Sunshine Coast University Hospital, a world class tertiary teaching hospital in Birtinya that saw its first patients in 2017.

My colleague, Liz Hlipala is also leading out on three key leadership roles in New South Wales, South Australia and Western Australia respectively. They are:

Each of these roles are important however one in particular – District Manager Aboriginal Health, Strategy, Policy and Performance – is also of significant cultural importance and my team and I feel very honoured to be part of the process.

We and our client, Murrumbidgee Local Health District, acknowledge the traditional owners of the land and pay our respect to past and present Elders of the land: the Wiradjuri, Yorta Yorta, Baraba Baraba, Wemba Wemba and Nari Nari peoples.

The role itself provides high level leadership and advice on Aboriginal Health issues across the organisation as well as day to day management of the Aboriginal Health team. Fundamentally this role is about ensuring the district does all it can to improve health outcomes for Aboriginal peoples and that will mean finding a range of ways for people to influence how services are designed, staffed and delivered.

You can read more about this and the other roles in the comprehensive Candidate Information Packs by following the links or calling my team and I directly. If we haven’t reached out to you yet we would love to hear from you.
