Earning CEP Points – before, during and after your Learning Set meeting
13 Dec 2012
Life is busy enough for health professionals, even before you try to find time to maintain your annual professional education CEP points in order to remain registered. Some Colleges like RACMA are making life easier for you. Did you know that if you are a RACMA member and an HGI Learning Set member, you can earn CEP points for work you do as a result of attending your Set meetings and in between meetings?
CEP compliance is an AHPRA and Medical Council of New Zealand standard for the maintenance of specialist registration in medical management. RACMA recognises that its Fellows gain valuable learning experiences through Learning Sets and as a result have a points recognition communicated on the CEP Activity Options and Points Weighting page of their website – www.racma.edu.au – that allocates points for work done before, during and after your Set meeting.
As a guide, the scope of Learning Set activities that will attract points include:
- Presentation – includes preparation and delivery
- For every hour that you are in your Set meeting you earn 1 point
- Presentation and change strategy
- Implementing and reviewing change strategy
