Northland District Health Board (DHB) is a high performing Health Service purchaser and provider, operating in a complex environment within a large geographical area.Providing health services to a population of 190,000 people, its vision is “A Healthier Northland”. Northland DHB has 3,416 staff and provides over 300 hospital beds and a broad range of health services across Northland.We have an annual budget of over $790M and fund most of Northland’s community health services. Northland DHB is now seeking applications for the role of General Manager Medical and Elder Services. Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will assume the overall responsibility for the delivery of safe, timely and quality patient care for the Medical and Elder Services directorate. You will be expected to meet all Ministry of Health targets for planned care and manage key resources including financial, human and physical. The successful candidate will have experience in strategic leadership, organisational awareness, advanced communication skills; excellent judgement; and will have significant technical and professional knowledge.
