Governing Board Members sought for Local Health Networks (H20_3456G)
- Opportunity for experienced board members to guide Local Health Network decision making
- Seeking members for current vacancies and future appointments for each of the 10 Governing Boards
The South Australian Government has implemented reform to the governance of the South Australian public health system that resulted in the introduction of Local Health Network Governing Boards from 1 July 2019.
Expressions of interest are now sought for members with experience as Board members to fill current and future vacancies for the 10 Governing Boards which cover metropolitan and regional South Australia.
Governing Board members are positions of significant strategic leadership and responsibility in the health system.
Governing Board composition will include a mix of people with experience across different areas, including community engagement. Individuals with experience, knowledge and expertise in one or more of the following areas are encouraged to apply:
- Health management
- Clinical governance
- Commercial management
- Financial management
- Aboriginal Health
- The practice of Law
- The provision of health services
- Other knowledge, experience and expertise that will enable the effective performance of the Governing Board functions
Governing Board member remuneration is currently $35,379 per annum (metropolitan and state-wide boards) and $24,765 per annum (regional boards).Note: current SA Health staff members cannot be appointed to the Board of the LHN in which they work.
