Having recently adopted a new Health Executive structure, which will drive improved decision making, enhance accountability and further empower local hospital management to best manage local demand, with a greater focus on community-based care and health system reform. The Executive Director of Nursing, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Hospital South, will provide high level specialist advice on policy and clinical workforce planning. This is the ideal position for a strategic, patient-centred, nursing leader, with an ability to engage effectively with clinicians from a variety of disciplines. The successful candidate will be a visible and transformational leader, establishing sustainable frameworks which support strategic health workforce planning across the THS. This executive will lead education, research and development of the nursing workforce and will work collaboratively as part of the executive leadership team to bring about improved outcomes.
The successful candidate will be a Registered Nurse, with a collaborative and engaging style. Experience working with and a comprehensive knowledge of current policies, legislation, and industrial relations matters is a must. To thrive in this position, highly developed interpersonal skills are essential.
A competitive total remuneration package based on the Tasmanian State Service Nurses and Midwives Award will be offered to the successful candidate.
