The Health Performance Council is a statutory Ministerial advisory body established under the Health Care Act 2008 to provide independent advice to the Minister for Health and Wellbeing on the operation of the health system and health outcomes for South Australians.
The Health Performance Council focuses on system level strategic priorities for the health system and the effectiveness of the health system’s operation in alignment with these priorities.The Council undertakes reviews and research at a strategic system level across a broad range of health-related issues.
Expressions of interest are now sought for members with experience, high level knowledge and expertise in the provision of health care or the administration of health services. Of particular interest are persons with expertise in health system strategy, design, economics and finance, and policy. The Health Performance Council generally meets in full 5 times each year and around 8 positions are currently expected to be filled.
Health Performance Council Member remuneration is currently $17,790 per annum.
