An exciting opportunity is offered for an exceptional individual to lead the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS). SCHHS is a dynamic health service provider that operates with a vision to provide health and wellbeing through exceptional care for the Sunshine Coast and Gympie regional communities and continues to evolve as a major metropolitan service in the State.

The Sunshine Coast offers a growing, changing population, located in one of the most beautiful parts of Australia, in the northern areas of South East Queensland, approximately one and a half hours from Brisbane.

The SCHHS is an independent statutory body that services a population of about 445,000, with a budget of $1.3 billion and 8,500 staff. SCHHS provides the continuum of services, from community-based health services through to tertiary and teaching hospital-based services and across multiple sites.

SCHHS has an ambitious strategy agenda of organisational transformation and cultural change to deliver high quality patient care, stakeholder relationships and partnerships.This is a rare chance to help grow and evolve the organisation, drive cultural reform whilst ensuring the contemporary service needs of the community are met in a fiscally responsible way.

A Chief Executive Officer is now sought to build on and deliver a reliable, sustainable, and respectful healthcare service for, and with, all members of the community, staff, and stakeholders. The role will provide strong leadership and be a change agent to continue to build an innovative and exemplar health network. Reporting to the Chair of the Governing Board this is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to how health services are delivered to the community.
