NT Health Central Australia Region is now seeking an experienced General Manager Alice Springs Hospital to provide high level leadership and management of the Alice Springs Hospital and associated services, leading to a high degree of confidence in service delivery to local communities.

The focus of this role is to lead the day-to-day operations of the Alice Springs Hospital and associated services including the Alcohol and Other Drugs Service, Renal Services, Hearing Health, the Medical Retrieval and Consultation Centre and the Sexual Assault Referral Centre. The General Manager will develop and implement innovative, responsive, and contemporary strategies and service models to meet the health needs of the client population.

Reporting to the Central Australia Regional Executive Director, the General Manager will play an important role on the Senior Executive Committee of the region and will contribute significantly to the Health Service vision, strategic direction, performance and health outcomes for the communities of Central Australia.

To be a strong candidate for the role you will have:

  • Extensive experience in the delivery of health services in a complex environment with a demonstrated and proven record of successful outcomes
  • Commitment to the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians
  • Recognition as a strategic, contemporary, and transformative leader who can contribute to the overall leadership of the Central Australia Region
  • Experience in leading successful change and developing contemporary models of service delivery particularly in rural and remote Australia
