Southern DHB is now seeking an Executive Director Mental Health, Addictions & Intellectual Disability. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer you will work in partnership with the other Executive Directors of the DHB to ensure both operational and professional directions of the Southern DHB are aligned.You will have exemplary relationship management skills and a high level of professional credibility. As Executive Director Mental Health Addictions & Intellectual Disability you will provide executive oversight, vision, leadership, and line accountability to improve the health outcomes of our population covered by the Mental Health, Addictions & Intellectual Disability functions through developing and implementing plans that encompass a ‘whole of systems’ approach. A key responsibility of this role will be to lead the transformation of the DHB’s mental health, addictions, and intellectual disability services as outlined in the recently released report: ‘Time for Change, Te Hurihanga: A review of the mental health and addiction system’.
