Waroona Multipurpose Centre is a 45-bed residential aged care facility with 24/7 Registered Nursing available. The centre is located in Charleville, Queensland, next to the Charleville Hospital and provides residential age care, including dementia care, palliative care and non-dedicated respite care. South West HHS is looking to appoint a Nurse Unit Manager for the Waroona Multipurpose Centre.
The Nurse Unit Manager reports to the Director of Nursing of the Waroona Multipurpose Centre and has responsibility for and a strong focus on clinical care and leadership, management, education and/or research.
The Nurse Unit Manager applies operational leadership and principals of clinical governance to strategies that support a work-based culture that promotes and supports education, learning, research and workforce development.
The Nurse Unit Manager will be a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and hold a current annual practicing certificate. They will have a strong commitment to person centred care and an advanced knowledge of clinical evidence-based care coordination and interdisciplinary care in Aged Care settings. They will be committed to teamwork and to optimising health and life experiences of the residents of the Waroona Multipurpose Centre.
