Additional theatres and beds were added in 2012, again in 2019 and there are further growth plans for the future.

Braemar Hospital is currently recruiting a General Manager Commercial Services to its Senior Executive Team. Reporting to the Chief Executive the General Manager Commercial Services will oversee key commercial projects, be responsible for identifying, negotiating and managing new commercial opportunities and contracts and lead the hospital’s procurement (stores), property and facilities teams. Critical to the role is the ability to build strong trusted commercially robust relationships with all parties and partners to ensure that contracted services are appropriate, effective and sustainable. The General Manager Commercial Services will also be responsible for working with clinical leaders at Braemar Hospital to ensure the hospital’s high-end property and facilities continue to be market-leading quality and fit for purpose.

The General Manager Commercial Services for Braemar Hospital will have a track record at a senior level for delivering results with a professional workforce, most likely as an Operations or Commercial Manager. While previous experience in healthcare is desirable, more importantly the General Manager Commercial Services will have strong business acumen and demonstrated skills in identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation. They will have extensive experience managing the commercial interests of an organisation and a successful track record in business development and relationship management including advanced negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management abilities.
