Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN) is one of South Australia’s largest healthcare providers and is recognised as a leader in health service provision, clinical teaching, training and research. SALHN is unique in the State public health system as it provides services across the lifespan, from obstetrics, maternity and neonatal services, to end of life care.The Women’s and Children’s Service comprises Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Neonatology, Paediatrics and Child Health and Child Protection.
SALHN are now seeking a Network Clinical Director Women’s and Children’s to provide strategic clinical leadership and to significantly contribute to the achievement of SALHN’s strategic objectives and South Australia’s Health Care Plan.The position will lead all strategic and operational facets of the Women’s and Children’s Division, with the support of a Co-Director and Unit Heads of the major services within the Division, to ensure the provision of safe, effective and efficient care.There is a focus on innovation and the introduction of contemporary models of care to ensure the best possible health outcomes for the population that SALHN serves.
A highly accomplished clinical leader in your own right with a commitment to innovation, service improvement and ensuring the highest standards of patient centered care, you will contribute significantly to the ongoing excellence of service provision at SALHN. You will also continue to provide clinical services in your specialty area, but generous time allocation has been allowed to support the undertaking of your leadership responsibilities.
The position requires the possession of MBBS or equivalent and appropriate Specialist qualifications and registered with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration.
