LATROBE COMMUNITY HEALTH SERVICE (LCHS)
Latrobe Community Health Service (LCHS) has been providing essential healthcare to the communities of the Latrobe Valley and Gippsland since the 1970s. From humble beginnings as a collection of smaller organisations, we have grown into a trusted provider of over 50 services across 50 locations in Victoria and New South Wales. Our purpose is clear: To enable people in our communities to thrive through quality care, support, education and connections.
We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Director – Medical Services and Oral Health to lead our medical and oral health services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred and sustainable care. This pivotal role is integral to our continued growth and success, aligning with our “Make it One” strategy to offer seamless, connected care across a range of services.
THE ROLE
As the Executive Director – Medical Services and Oral Health, you will be responsible for the leadership and strategic direction of our clinic-based medical and oral health services. You will work closely with our executive team to shape the future of healthcare delivery at LCHS, ensuring we provide accessible, high-quality care that meets the needs of our diverse communities.
As the Executive Director – Medical Services and Oral Health, you will lead the development and execution of strategies for general practice, urgent care, sexual health, nurse practitioner, and oral health services. You will ensure the safe, effective, and compliant delivery of all medical and oral health services in accordance with relevant laws and regulations. Collaborating with finance and business teams, you will create and manage sustainable budgets, ensuring both financial efficiency and high-quality service delivery. In addition, you will foster seamless integration and collaboration across various LCHS services, including NDIS, aged care, mental health, paediatrics, youth, drug and alcohol, and refugee/migrant services. As a key member of the executive team, you will also contribute to strategic planning and organisational decision-making, shaping the future of LCHS.
THE CANDIDATE
You are an experienced and strategic healthcare leader with a deep understanding of clinical governance, patient safety, and risk management in both general practice and oral health services. With a strong foundation in evidence-based practice, you are well-versed in accreditation standards and have a comprehensive knowledge of health care workforce planning, including the recruitment and credentialing of GPs, dentists, dental staff, nurse practitioners, and allied health professionals. You bring a keen understanding of Medicare Benefits and Child Dental Benefits Schemes, as well as expertise in modern billing practices, including private and Dental Health Services Victoria-funded services. Your previous experience managing profitable general practice or oral health services, ideally across multiple locations, has equipped you with the skills to drive sustainable growth and ensure high-quality, integrated care. Passionate about making a positive impact, you are ready to lead LCHS in providing exceptional healthcare services to the community.
