THE OPPORTUNITY
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at Tweed Valley Hospital, a new, state-of-the-art facility located at the heart of the network of hospitals and health services across the Tweed-Byron region. As a major referral hospital, this modern facility will feature a range of advanced healthcare services including additional operating theatres, expanded emergency department facilities, enhanced medical, surgical, and mental health services, as well as new ambulatory care services. The hospital will also introduce new interventional cardiology and radiotherapy services as part of an integrated cancer care initiative.
THE ROLE
The successful candidate will provide operational and strategic leadership for Tweed Valley Hospital, ensuring the delivery of a comprehensive range of healthcare services in accordance with the Northern NSW Local Health District (NNSWLHD) Health Services plan. This role involves managing the hospital’s physical, human, and financial resources, while maintaining alignment with NNSWLHD’s organizational objectives, corporate business plans, and the policy directions set by the NSW Ministry of Health. As General Manager, you will play a critical part in fostering a high-quality, patient-centered healthcare environment that meets the evolving needs of the local community. The successful candidate will also demonstrate the ability to lead an organization that fosters a positive, inclusive workplace culture where people are motivated to work, thrive, and contribute to a shared sense of purpose. THE CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate will possess strong strategic and operational management skills, with the ability to lead a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced, evolving healthcare environment.
