The role of the Medical Director Orthopaedic Service Redcliffe and Caboolture Hospitals at Metro North Health Service represents a significant leadership position, offering a unique opportunity to influence patient care and outcomes. This role requires a dynamic individual who can balance clinical expertise with managerial responsibilities, ensuring the delivery of patient-focused care that aligns with the hospital’s commitment to clinical excellence, innovation, and education.
THE ROLE
This new Director position will be pivotal in fostering collaborative relationships with stakeholders and leading a team dedicated to providing high-quality, cost-effective services across two campuses. This role encompasses leadership in Orthopaedics in the established centre of Redcliffe Hospital, and implementation of a new and complementary greenfield service at Caboolture Hospital. The Medical Director will be instrumental in working with the team to drive quality improvement initiatives, advancing research, and optimising patient access to care. This position not only demands a strong clinical background but also a visionary approach to healthcare delivery, embodying the values of Metro North Health Service and championing a culture of safety and excellence.
THE CANDIDATE
To be a strong candidate for the role you will be able to demonstrate the following :
- Significant experience in medical leadership and healthcare management
- Respect, Teamwork, Compassion, High Performance & Integrity
- A Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent. Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and register-able with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration
- Be recognised as a strategic and contemporary medical leader who can contribute to the overall leadership of the Department
