HG is pleased to announce the appointment of David Boothey as Director Integrated Medicine, Child and Youth, Cairns and Hinterland HHS.
David Boothey is an accomplished executive with over 25 years of experience across healthcare, consulting, and public service. His career spans leadership roles in healthcare systems, where he has directed complex reform initiatives, guided system and provider strategies, and executed large-scale transformation projects aimed at improving both financial sustainability and operational efficiency. His experience includes extensive work in performance management, system recovery, and stakeholder collaboration, equipping him with a comprehensive understanding of healthcare dynamics and public health priorities on a national and international scale.
David previously served as Executive Director of the Surgical Division at Canberra Health Service. David has managed the division’s transition from Calvary to ACT Health and developed operational and performance frameworks to enhance productivity.
HG is delighted for David as he joins Cairn’s and Hinterland HHS.

Jacqueline Ah Kit is an experienced health services executive with a career spanning multiple senior leadership roles focused on Aboriginal health policy and service delivery.
She has held significant roles in public health systems, including her previous position as Acting Executive Director Aboriginal Health and Wellbeing at the Women’s and Children’s Health Network (WCHN) within SA Health.
Jacqueline had led initiatives to improve workforce development, expanding access to health services, and integrating community involvement into service planning.

Emma Clarke

HG is pleased to announce the appointment of Emma Clarke as Director of Strategy, Innovation & Digital Health with South Eastern Sydney Local Health District.
Emma is an experienced health leader with nearly two decades in the public sector, combining clinical expertise as a registered nurse with senior management roles across strategy, innovation, and service redesign. She is passionate about improving systems for consumers and staff, using co-design and evidence-based approaches to drive sustainable change.
Emma most recently served as Director of the Westmead Health Precinct Leadership Team and Director of Innovation & Redesign at Western Sydney Local Health District, where she led major strategic initiatives, stakeholder engagement, and service improvements across complex health environments.
Emma holds postgraduate qualifications in health service management, clinical redesign, and nursing, and is a respected contributor to state-wide healthcare innovation and implementation networks.
HG is delighted for Emma as she steps into this role with South Eastern Sydney LHD.
